The Royal Caribbean Line Is Hard To Beat
The Caribbean Islands themselves are amazing, but the ship itself can be just as breathtaking and exciting on a Royal Caribbean Cruise. For just as much fun, excitement, and romance on as well as off the ship, Melody says the Royal Caribbean Line is amazing.
For our honeymoon we enjoyed a 7-day cruise on Royal Caribbean cruise lines. We were on the Mariner of the Seas cruise ship and had a stateroom with a balcony overlooking the water. Our cruise departed from Port Canaveral, Florida. We stopped at 4 ports of call: Ladadee Haiti, Ochio Rios Jamaica, Georgetown, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Mexico. The ship was absolutely beautiful. My favorite part of the ship was the Casino Royale. My husband and I enjoyed playing Black Jack a few nights on the ship. The dealers were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. There was also a night club on the ship, and we went there one evening for the “Welcome Honeymooners” event. We won a raffle and received one free game of onboard Bingo. There was always something happening onboard the ship. Trivia, karaoke, wine tasting, shopping, shows, movies in the theater, spa, a gym, and much more kept you busy on days at sea. The food on the ship was fantastic. The Wind Jammer buffet was always stocked with the most delicious foods from breakfast through dinner. It was so good that we ate there most every evening and only ate in the dining room once. We did pay a $20 per person surcharge to eat at Chops restaurant one evening. It was phenomenal! Your $20 surcharge included anything you wanted off the menu of Chops steakhouse. My husband and I both had the best filet mignon of our life. We also ate at Johnny Rocket’s one afternoon. It was also a surcharge restaurant but again, your nominal fee allowed you to choose from whatever you wanted on the menu. It was delicious and the wait staff danced a little for entertainment. On days when we were at a port of call we took advantage of the many excursion choices. In Lebadee, we zip-lined to Dragon’s Breath Point, a natural rock formation that hisses like a sleeping dragon when waves hit it! In Ocho Rios, we climbed Dunn’s River Falls with a group. In Grand Cayman we signed up for snorkling and swimming with sting rays, but we were rained out. Royal Caribbean refunded our money immediately. In Cozumel, we went on a catamaran ride to a private island where we could lounge, have drinks, snorkel and enjoy ourselves. Alcoholic beverages were included in the price of this excursion. I would definitely recommend a Royal Caribbean cruise to a friend. I had the time of my life on my honeymoon. I have cruised on other cruise lines, but they do not compare to Royal Caribbean. Check websites for last minute (30-90 days in advance) cruise deals. We booked 60 days in advance and saved a lot of money. Royal Caribbean cruise lines will not disappoint you.
