Caribbean Cruise Travel is a great way to honeymoon in paradise

If you want a romantic, unforgettable honeymoon, but you feel a cruise is just a little too cliché, you couldn’t be more wrong! May Lynne was skeptical, but she was completely won over with the honeymoon of a lifetime on her Caribbean cruise! From a ship with luxuries that took her breath away, a romantic bedroom, lovely beaches, all-inclusive food, and fantastic shopping experiences, her honeymoon was truly amazing!

I have to admit when my husband surprised me with a cruise to the Caribbean I was both excited and a little annoyed. My husband knows that while I do love romance, I prefer it filled with originality and something like a cruise was just a bit too cliché for me. It didn’t matter though, as the trip was planned and paid for and in the end I would be with him, so I went with the flow. It was a quick trip to Miami to connect with our ship, and to be honest I was floored when I saw just how big the ship was. I heard cruise liners were big but nothing could have prepared me for this. I got to hang out at the bar, casino, and spa, which I especially loved. We were even able to go dancing at an onboard club that was very exciting and something I never thought would be on the ship. The meals were paid for in our package, and all the food was excellent. On the occasions when we didn’t feel like exotic food, the hamburgers were excellent. We also had an allowance that we could spend on anything we wanted onboard, such as cocktails and chips at the casino, which I put to very good use. I actually won a good little chunk of money that I later quickly lost but it was fun doing it. The ports of call were interesting; I particularly enjoyed exploring Ocho Rios in Jamaica. My husband and I enjoyed the beach, and he let me drag him on a shopping excursion. For the first time during the trip I think he actually regretted planning it, as I made him carry a ton of stuff that I bought from some beautiful fashion stores and souvenir shops. All in all, the experience was great and something I wouldn’t trade for the world. If anyone was planning on going on a cruise for their honeymoon but was worrying about it being too cliché, then don’t worry. With new places to explore, a romantic cabin, and plenty of shopping experiences, you can’t go wrong.
